L’Atelier
In 2014 the Collège d’études mondiales, Fondation Maison des Sciences de l’Homme (FMSH) invited me to create a Chair which I called “Global South(s),” where I continued to imagine ways to bring history and art, activism, and research together. It was in this spirit that I founded L’Atelier in November 2015. The organizing principles of L’ Atelier were to bring together artists from different origins and different practices (photography, dance, theater, performance, music), activists, and scholars, in a low-tech production, a mix of artistic genres and disciplines, and a combination of research and creative work. Two days of creation and production led to a one-shot public performance.
